Ebay has announced a new fees and rules structure. February's 2009s planned fees increase and altered feedback policy, some sellers have left eBay for smaller—online pastures, reports the Wall Street Journal. Alternative e-commerce sites have wooed disgruntled merchants with lower fees, free how-to's and, in some cases, a nich-er market. It looks like Ebay have forgotten those who made Ebay. The largest mistake of business to think you are actually more powerful than your customer. Watch this space to see Ebay back track. A bad set of projections will inject some reality and logic but it may be too late. It seems strange to us. After all this business model is geared for a recession and depression where shoppers are reselling and purchasing. Now that the big one has arrived Ebay seem to have inflicted a huge blow to themselves.
