European City Directory Scam

European City Directory Scam. The latest in a long list of invoice scams. Well its not a scam if you consider 997 euro as expensive for a CD. The scam takes this format. You receive a letter and a prefilled form and a SAE to make it easy to return. The form has a crude version of the european flag on the top banner so as to make the quick accounts clerk think its ok to pass. For 997 you receive a CD and a commitment to paying this 997 every year till you shout stop. 

 

The lesson as always is never let an invoice slip through the accounts without having a purchase order number for it.
