How to checkout credibility online.
Many times we are dealing with new clients and we need to check if they are who they say they are, and if they have a clean record. Below are a list of sites we use for getting trade references and establishing a profile of a prospective client. While this its not a guarantee it will give you a good profile.
- www.solo.ie company director cross check, good also for finding if the company is trading and what their turnover is
- www.courts.ie check if the indivduals are involved in any cases over the last number of years.
- www.whois.com check who their domain is actually registered to, tells if the company has their online identity protecte.
- www.linkedn.com check out if they have a profile on linkedn and use some of their connections as cross references
- www.google.com google em, then go through all the pages, hope fully your new client is not James Bond.
