How to show you are still in business on the web

Can the public tell from your website if you are still in business?

 

With so many businesses going to the wall this is a question I find my self asking when I look at websites, I see copy right notices reading 2003, last update being 2 years ago and I know a web site can out live a company by 12 months or more. Make sure your website shows signs of being updated or up to date. Something as simple as today’s date and time on the top left. Make the copyright notice automatically read the current year so when the new year comes you don’t have to remember to update your website. Have a twitter box on the site showing what clients your meeting with what new products you have noticed are on the market etc.
