Wireless Networks are changing surfing habits
Wireless networks in the domestic setting have altered web surfing patterns. We now see the busiest times on the web being between 2pm and 3pm and 8pm and 9pm, then it tails off and there is another surge between 11pm and 1 am. Traffic then seems to tail off dramatically till about 11 am the following morning.

Web stats from companies running television adverts in the evening are seeing visitor surges during advertising breaks. This said is it stunning the number of companies who dont have a web site that matches the quality of their TV ad. This indicates that more people are surfing and watch the television at the same time. So much for not being able to multi-task, imagine some could even manage a beer too ;-)

Companies in advertising on the web should first look at their visitor stats carefully and advertise in peak traffic times for their sector. This is becoming such a strong trend that it cannot be ignored.

Google and Overture now offer time sensitive advertising and it is important that this is done so as to get value for money in the paid clicks to your site. No use in advertising at 11 pm if you are looking to attract corporate business unless of course you are looking for corporate business in another time zone.
